Arg.

Technology is complicated. Hotmail hasn't been working -- it will load everything, I can click on everything except for my messages. I can see them, but can't click on them to read them. In googling the problem, I kept reading complaints about how unreliable hotmail is and how much better gmail is. I haven't had problems with hotmail in the past, and I've had an account with them since D was a baby. But I figured I would set up a gmail account and forward stuff from my hotmail account. Which is fine, except I figure I will want to phase out using hotmail if gmail goes well, which means switching over to my gmail address on things like my blog. My blog is currently associated with a hotmail address; to do that, I had to create a google account for my hotmail address. Since each gmail address automatically has its own google account, I can't switch my blog email to a gmail address. And I haven't figured out if I can switch my blog to a different google account. So I registered for a slightly different blog name with my new gmail address, and I'm going to see if I can import my old hotmail-linked blog. Blerg.
