Nice cool sunny morning. I could happily putter around and clean stuff up and organize and scrub and mow and declutter and bake all day long on days like this. I did some of that kind of stuff in the morning and then headed out with the older two to their French lessons. We went to Home Depot to look for some zucchini plants to replace the ones I pulled up, and ended up with 2 zucchini and a butternut squash, parsley (which I've been looking for to plant with the tomatoes), and lavendar. Mmmmm.
After we arrived back home, I planted the new stuff, watered the garden, pulled a couple of teeny weeds, and got covered with these teeny tiny light brown crawling thingies. They were all over the garden. If I put my hand on the soil, say to fill up the space around a new plant, they would run all over my hands and arms. Not huge swarms, but more than a few. I'm not sure what they were. There are also lots of ants running around the garden, so I'm hoping they're not aphids. I have research to do.
