A seems to be over being sick, but now, he's cutting eye teeth. Poor dude. I managed to do two 10 minute exercise segments this morning, and my productivity went downhill from there. I forgot that D's piano lesson has been moved to Mondays; the music academy called to ask where he was.
I did get outside and set up a soaker hose on one of the garden beds and transplanted the last handful of mums. They looked pretty sad by that point, so I hope they do OK. Stuff continues to grow. Beans are so rewarding to grow. They get so big so fast.
Most of the rest of the day was spent making food for people, cleaning up messes, trying to calm down A when he was upset over something, and despairing at how far behind I was falling no matter how hard I tried to keep up. And reading. And puttering around on the computer while A tried to fall asleep in my arms. We ate dinner late; it was after 8 by the time the kids were done eating. They actually seemed pretty tired by the end of it, and went up to bed and turned off the lights after a while without being asked/nagged/threatened with loss of privileges.
R was woken up early by A. He sat up in bed and said "All that screaming is waking me up!" in a chipper, amused voice. He was up earlier than usual, which I thought would be a good thing, but sadly, he just ended up falling asleep before 6pm. I kind of hoped he would just stay asleep for the night, but that was not very likely. He woke up around 9pm and started asking for cereal. And that's why I'm up at 1am; he's falling asleep on the couch. I did manage to get A off to sleep around 11 and I've been catching up on work around the house I wasn't able to do while he was awake. I'm not brave enough to tackle the bathroom tonight, though.
